Colorband Photography Studio Selected as 2008 Official Photographer for the Oklahoma Speaker's Ball.

The team of photographers, Roy, Jamie and Tyler, had the honor and pleasure of being chosen as the official photographer for the 2008 Oklahoma Speaker's Ball which was held on February 1, 2008 in the main ballroom of the Cox Convention Center.

Both Senator Jack Kemp, OU President David Boren gave eloquent and charismatic speeches that drove home the Oklahoma and American Spirit. The gala was well attended by our State's Congressional members as well as our Indian Nation Leaders. Additonally, numerous local and city government officials were in attendance. Colorband Photography Studio said; "It is a tremendous honor to be chosen to photograph so many of Oklahoma's finest dignitaries at such a prestigous and spectacular event."

The design of the annual gala event was designed by Dewey Beene, Jr. of Dolly Levi's Event Design Studio with incredible, dramatic lighting designed and provided by Dewey Beene, Jr. of Innovative Entertainment Solutions. The tables were well dressed in linens and chair covers provided by Dress-A-Chair and finely accented with fine floral arrangements by Morrisons Wedding Library.

The Annual Oklahoma Speaker's Ball has a mission. In addition to being the non-partisan event of the year, the Ball specifically raises funds for charity. The proceeds from the Ball will go to benifit the Children's Medical Research Foundation. The Oklahoma Speaker's Ball has raised tens of thousands of dollars to help fund medical research over the years.
