When I was a child, I was utterly fascinated with my mother’s camera and couldn’t get enough of the precious images she captured. I would look at my family’s albums, our history through my mother’s lens, for hours on end. Few things thrilled me more than hearing the crackle of the flashbulb and to know that my mother was telling the story of my family’s life. Seeing those sweet images come to life constantly inspired me and are now the most precious gift I could have ever received.
  I was 9 years old when my mother was able to give me a camera of my own and my life was forever changed. Now I could tell stories of life through my own lens and seek out those very special moments that often times only live in the memory. To actually be able to hold those moments in the palm of my hand was and is to this day, one of the most incredible experiences I could ever have.
  Throughout the next 26 years I photographed many, many moments. Whether I was photographing dear friends, life’s milestones, my parent’s renewal of their wedding vows or those sweet, precious fleeting moments of my mother’s waning life; stories were being told.
It was of these moments, taking me many years to come to the realization that this gift is something that was so much bigger than myself; that there were so many other stories to tell. The stories of the most precious moments in a person’s life were just waiting to be told.
  So, in 2002 Colorband Photography Studio was born. The creation of both myself, and Jamie, together we set out to tell the stories of the world by making the photographic experience not only comfortable, but fun as well and with the high level of service and dignity that our client’s deserve.
   Since then, we have been honored to capture those precious, fleeting moments of literally hundreds of people and it has been an incredibly fun journey. From the warmth and grandeur of the wedding day to the closeness and intimacy of a mommy with her newly born child and even the precious final moments when it is time to say goodbye to those we love, we have been and are a part of one of the greatest things a person can do on this earth; to tell the story of another’s life and then making it possible for them to hold those fleeting, precious memories in the palm of their hand, keeping those memories alive, forever. So much joy and sheer fun has been brought to our lives through capturing these memories.
  Photography is what we do. It is our passion. It is our joy. We are proud and honored to be a part of so many lives and we will be forever changed by the lives that have touched us.
